Merry Christmas

Hello!

Merry Christmas to all of you. What a perfect day we had here in Folsom today! It was fun to see the kids so excited about all the joys of Christmas. This morning Colten greeted us all by wishing us a "Very Christmas." He has been saying this for 2 weeks now. We have told him that it is 'Merry Christmas' but he insists that we are saying it wrong. Cracks us up!

Opening presents was really fun. Both kidos were so cute. Each time we opened a present they wanted to play with it, read it or open it. It took us 2 1/2 hours to open all of our presents. Towards the end they seemed to get the hang of things and were really tearing into the presents. Brynlee spent most of the time trying to stack presents on top of each other and proceeded to use them as her own holiday climbing gym. She is quite the climber.

They have been a ton of fun for the past week leading up to today! Aunt 'B' and Gram and Gramps Susee, were here to spend Christmas with us. What a treat for us to have them here as that has surely added to all the excitement. A couple of days ago Colten said "I like these guys here at my house." Pretty sweet little guy!

We hope this year has been as great for you all as it has for us. The kids are doing amazing. There is never a dull moment in the Booher house. Colten is 3 years old and such a 'big boy'. In November he started preschool a couple days a week and he absolutely loves it. It is an in home preschool with 2 other children and he is learning so much and having a wonderful time. Along with all the excitement of the holidays.....we decided to add to the chaos by starting potty training. He has been doing a fabulous job and we are so proud and excited to only have 1 in diapers! Well, for now anyway! :)

Brynlee is just the biggest sweetheart you would ever want to meet. She is into every thing and is so full of life. Her climbing skills have proven to be very good. She likes to spend her time figuring out how she can reach the tops of tables, chairs and the highest possible point in the room. She has an amazing sense of balance and is very athletic. She has given us quite the fright at times and is rapidly catching her brother in the race to see who can collect the most scars. In addition to her extreme aspirations, Brynn is talking like crazy, picking up new words and phrases daily, loves to dance to just about any music (her favorite is the musical hallmark greeting cards - seriously how long do the batteries last on those things...). She is very into baby dolls and when she is not dragging her dollies by the pinki toe or using it as a stepladder to climb up onto the dining room table, she is very lovie and sensitive. Which are good things and we are hoping this will help with the arrival of the new member of our family (due Mar 1) - obviously without the dragging or stepping on.

We had a fun filled year with many trips, events and happenings. We have not doubt that 2011 will only get better and we wish you well in the New Year. Please drop us a note, we'd love to hear from you.

Love, The Boohers
